Dr. Alak Kumar Saha joined as a registrar of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Pirojpur (BSMRSTUP) on 02/01/2023 last. Before that he served National University, Gazipur, Bangladesh as a Director [Grade-3],Barishal Regional Center for the last eight and half years so far joining on 03/08/2014. He left BCS Education Cadre on 02/08/2014 from Barguna Govt. College while he joined BCS Cadre in 1991 at Naogaon Govt. College facing 9th BCS placing the 2nd Position. Journey as a Cadre Officer he had been there for over more than 23 years serving the DSHE Office, Dhaka, Sahzadpur Govt. College, Sirajgang, Govt. Edward College, Pabna and so on while he got promoted to the Professor of Accounting (not Joined) during his tenure of the Cadre service. Dr. Alak Saha was born in 1963 in the village of Kadibari, belongs to the Badalgachhi Upazilla under the district of Naogaon and passed SSC Examination in 1978. He completed and obtained his Honors and Masters Degrees in 1983 and 1984 respectively from the department of Accounting, University of Rajshahi while he was conferred Ph.D on 18.05.2002 by the said University. Dr. Saha has been honored by the published three international Articles and five national publications including two honors academic Books (Business Communication and Principles of Accounting). He was the columnist (Writer in the Sub-Editorial) of The Daily Bangladesh Observer till 2009 where 17 Articles had been published. Dr. Alak Kumar Saha completed several academic, administrative, computer & English language training courses and Workshops in NAEM, RPATC & World Bank (on `Strengthening Accounting & Auditing Standards in Bangladesh’ jointly organized by World Bank and National University in 2006) during 1991-2014 and got distinguished awards from NAEM (National Academy for Educational Management), Dhaka getting 1st position in ACEM (Advance Course on Education and Management) belonging to the `Chairman Award’ and in OM (Office Management) Course respectively scoring more than 97% marks. Dr. Saha has got the efficiency on ICT covering the same of MS-Word, MS-Excel and Power Point, played key-roll as a Speaker in participating the Digital Bangladesh Platform Seminar jointly organized by the District Administration Office, Pabna and Govt. Edward College, Pabna in 2012. He traveled many countries like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, South Korea, India, Nepal, Bhutan , Maldives, Vietnam and Cambodia where he was fortunate enough to meet with faculties of the University concerned and lucky enough to publish articles/writings communicating and gathering ideas from there. Dr. Alak Kumar Saha is a Singer, composer, Flute Player, Debater, Presenter, Reciter, Dramatist, Actor and a Story Writer. His vision is to serve the institutions concerned in particular and serve the country from the core of heart in general.
